Make sure that downspouts are pointed away from your home’s foundation. And trim any tree branches that are hanging over your house. Clean Up the Yard Now is also the time to get your yard cleaned up for winter. Trim trees by removing dead branches. Snow and ice can accumulate on tree branches, making them very heavy.
